Course Description: Current trends in drug use and the effects of drugs. How the legalization of marijuana is taking shape and potential consequences. Drug education materials from Drug Free World to combat usage will also be presented.

Instructor Bio:

David Scattergood is an Advisor for the Foundation for a Drug-Free World, a non-profit corporation that empowers youth and adults with factual information about drugs so they can make informed decisions and live drug-free lives.

He works with law enforcement officials, schools and community groups in Washington State, providing them with free educational materials which explain:

 Why people take drugs

 How drugs work

 How drugs affect the mind

 Why drugs destroy creativity

Dave conducts open houses, school assemblies and other forums as well as meeting one-on-one with individuals interested in the Drug-Free World program.
